In a Vase on Monday - the unique state of being a bud
With Noria Anastasia on my mind, I have only come across buds today – a yellow one
of Crocus, two white ones of Camellia, a pink one of Bergenia cordifolda and many burgeoned twigs of hortensia, kerria, vinca, magnolia
and forsythia. The unique, peerless state of being a bud.

Buds in the plural, not just one bud! Aren't they lovely? The shape and formation of buds are so unique to each type of plant - so fascinating to watch them develop and finally open. You can now have that pleasure from the warmth and comfort of your home :) Thanks for sharing
RăspundețiȘtergereFascinating, indeed, Cathy, thanks!
ȘtergereA lovely collection of buds! Will the Camellia open, do you think? I've never tried cutting one at that stage.
RăspundețiȘtergereNeither have I, Kris! I will see if it opens and let you know.
ȘtergereLovely vase with early spring buds....it seems early spring is like late fall...a mix of garden surprises.

ȘtergereA very nice mix of buds and you will be able to enjoy watching them unfurl up close now. I do hope the Camellia opens for you!
RăspundețiȘtergereThank you, Cathy!
ȘtergereWhat a lovely collection of buds to enjoy as they unfurl - it would be nice to see a photo when they all open.
RăspundețiȘtergereThank you, Julie! The crocus bud has already unfurled.
ȘtergereHow pretty, all your lovely buds hold so much promise. I really enjoy watching buds unfurl in water.
RăspundețiȘtergereThanks, Chloris, that is the word, PROMISE!
ȘtergereHow lovely to be able to combine the camellia and crocus together :)
RăspundețiȘtergereYes, and today both buds have unfurled.
ȘtergerePrivind buchetul din primavara trecuta mi-am amintit ca vreau o plantuta noua de camelie ... Cele vechi s-au uscat acum doua-trei veri.
