The Tuesday View: 27th September 2016

Only a few changes since last week, more red roses in bloom and the two clumps of white Japanese Anemones that now can be better seen as they have grown taller.

Many thanks to Cathy at Words and Herbs for hosting the Tuesday View and for the idea of posting a photo of the same view of the garden week by week.

End of Month View - August 2016

It is the last summer day today and you can feel and see it in the garden, too. The summer flowers look  a little bit tired, most of them have gone, only here and there a few colourful spots that look still fresh. The  light is gentle and the whole garden smells like honeysuckle and autumn.

The Tuesday View: 30th August 2016

These last days of summer have brought something new in this area of the garden - a container with some beautiful Hebe Donna Nikka. Plus some white Anemone Hupensis that are preparing to bloom, but cannot be seen in the picture because of the Peony leaves on the right, which I probably have to cut next week.

Many thanks to Cathy at Words and Herbs for hosting the Tuesday View and for the idea of posting a photo of the same view of the garden week by week.

Early Morning Light

Nothing compares to the way the garden looks like in the early morning light. There is so much magic silence that you can almost hear the grass growing. So true what William Longgood says,
A late summer garden has a tranquility found no other time of the year."
