A fost un septembrie mai altfel decât în alți ani, fără frunze galbene, tristețuri și nostalgii și nici ”luați-l pe septembrie din noi, că dăm din el pe dinafară”. La final de lună, în grădină e un fel de vară prelungită, cu mulți boboci gata să se deschidă, cu iarba de un verde crud cum n-a fost nici în primăvară, cu multe flori care au uitat să mai moară și puține semne de toamnă. E matură, rafinată, trecută prin multe, mândră, puternică, ușor jucăușă, imprevizibilă cât să-i stea bine și pregătită pentru ce-o să vină. Îi stă bine din orice unghi te uiți la ea, chiar și în această zi mohorâtă de final de septembrie, uite:/ September has been special this year, so different from others, with no yellow leaves, sadness and nostalgia of all kinds. Trandafirilor le e parcă mai bine ca astă vară, au flori mari și sunt plini de boboci:/

Caprifoiul e mai crud și proaspăt ca niciodată, iar anemonele de toamnă au început să înflorească și în fiecare zi se mai deschide, elegant, câte un boboc:/
