Straturi de lalele 2017

Anul acesta, straturile de lalele sunt pline de flori și diverse din punct de vedere al culorilor.
Cel mai colorat este cel creat printre trandafiri, unde au fost plantate și multe dintre „noutățile”din toamna trecută:

Apoi, este cel cu multe Angelique, unde se arată combinația preferată de roz, alb și violet închis:

Un colț mic, dar foarte elegant are Shirley și Tres Chique:

Spre vest, la stânga, e stratul cu lalele bujor, bătute și spectaculoase, iar spre dreapta continuăm cu papagalii și Spring Green.

Roșiile sunt și ele la locul lor și în curtea din spate:

Iar stratul mov, creat anul trecut, e incredibil de rezistent - e înflorit de câteva săptămâni:

Un colțișor cu Jackpot creat în toamnă:

Și un altul cu Peach Blossom, care și-a schimbat culoarea pe măsură ce a înflorit :

Iar în acest colț Ronaldo e aproape singur:

The Tuesday View: 11th October 2016

 A Tuesday view under the rain that has not stopped for a few days.Aster has faded completely, but the Hydrangea, the red rose and the white Japanese Anemones are still gorgeous.

The Tuesday View: 27th September 2016

Only a few changes since last week, more red roses in bloom and the two clumps of white Japanese Anemones that now can be better seen as they have grown taller.

It is late October and the mornings are still sunny and still with Anemones.

First Signs

A început întomnirea, încet, dar sigur. Azi am surprins primele semne, uite:

Alb în octombrie/White in October

Îmi place albul în grădină în orice anotimp, dar parcă  cel din octombrie e special. Luminează de oriunde ar fi, din straturile de flori, din ghivece și jardiniere, din liniile mobilierului de grădină./ I like white in the garden in all seasons, but it seems to me that the October one is quite special.

Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day - October 2015

A fost o zi mohorâtă, rece, dar bună de lucrat în grădină, căci pământul e afânat după multe zile de ploaie. Am lucrat toată dimineața, am tăiat frunzele de bujor, am curățat straturile de flori de buruieni și uscături, am revigorat niște colțuri mai obosite, am mai plantat niște bulbi și, la final, am făcut și pozele pentru Bloom Day. Incredibil cât de multe flori și culori sunt încă în grădină, nu e o bogăție de același fel, ci câte un pic din fiecare, câteva au rămas stinghere în tufe ofilite, multora le-a priit ploaia prelungită, altora chiar le-a venit vremea să înflorească. Cum se și spune, în octombrie, orice se poate întâmpla. Uite:/It has been a gloomy day today, but a good one to work in the garden, as the soil is loose after so many rainy days. I have worked all morning, cutting the peonies, pulling the weeds, giving more life to some tired corners, planting more bulbs and, in the end, taking the Bloom Day photos. It is incredible how many flowers and colours are still in the garden, not many of the same type, but a little bit of each of them, some standing alone in bushes that have faded, others looking good because of the rain and many  in bloom as it is their time to show off. As they say, in October, anything can happen. Here they are:
