In a Vase on Monday - The Other Way Around

I  usually arrange the bouquet and then I choose the most appropriate vase for it, but today it has been the other way around as I badly wanted to have that beautiful blue jug filled in with some beauties and keep it for a few days on my desk at home. Not easy at all, as that special shade of light blue does not match other colours easily, but finally some Phlox, Lavender, Weigella (in her second bloom!) and Snow on the Mountain, plus a very small Hydrangea flower, a Balloon flower, and a Petunia have turned to be the best options.Have a great late summer, gardeners!/ De obicei fac mai întâi buchetul și apoi aleg vaza cea mai potrivită pentru el, dar azi a fost invers. Voiam neapărat să pun ceva frumos în cana asta splendidă și s-o țin câteva zile pe biroul meu de acasă. N-a fost ușor deloc, pentru că acel albastru pal absolut  special nu se potrivește cu orice culoare, dar, în cele din urmă cele mai bune opțiuni s-au dovedit a fi câteva fire de flox, lavandă, weigella, snow on the mountains, plus o floare mică de hortensie, una de balon și o petunie. Un final de vară cât mai frumos pentru grădinari!

The Show Must Go On - Hydrangeas in Late Summer

The Hydrangeas show is going on, their colours are changing these days into beautiful pastel ones that give such a wonderful vintage touch to my small garden./ Spectacolul oferit de hortensii continuă, culorile li se schimbă în niște nuanțe care mai de care mai pastelate, diferite de la o tufă la alta, dând micii noastre grădini un minunat aer vintage.

33 de grade, caniculă, grădina ca o oază în pauzele de lucru. E vară, vară. În vaza de azi sunt florile acestui anotimp: iberis, physostegia Crown of Snow, flox, lavandă, gura-leului și câteva fire uscate de iarbă. / 33 degrees, very hot and the garden like an oasis of green and shadow to enjoy during the work breaks. This is summer. And these are some summer flowers in my today vase: Iberis, Physostegia Crown of Snow, Phlox, Lavender, Snapdragons and some blades of grass. 

Roz de vară în grădină/ Summer Pink in the Garden

Că e primăvară, vară sau toamnă, am flori roz în grădină. E o culoare care îmi place (în grădină!) și care se potrivește foarte bine cu altele pe care le prefer - albastrul, albul și violetul, precum și cu verdele frunzelor de arbuști. Roz în grădină înseamnă un pic de romantism, prospețime, strălucire și bună dispoziție, pe care în această vară le-am avut din plin cu hortensii, trandafiri, valeriană, astilbe, floarea balon, cosmos, flox, weigela prințesa roz, salvie, delphinium, sporul casei, gura-leului, deutzia stawberry fields. Tot felul de nuanțe, mai palide sau mai puternice, care mai de care mai frumoase, uite așa:/ I have pink flowers in the garden all year round. It is a colour I like and that goes very well with others that I prefer - blue, white and purple and the foliage green. Pink in the gaden means a touch of romanticism, freshness, brightness and joy and this summer we have had them all, with Hydrangeas, Valerians, Astilbe, the Baloon flowers, Cosmos, Phlox, Weigela Pink Princess, Salvia, Delphiniums, Snapdragons, and Deutzia Strawberry Fields. Light or deep pink, one more beautiful than the other, the flowers have been just like this:
