Hawera, lacrimi de înger

Hawera, un soi vechi de narcise triandus, sunt mici și târzii, miros splendid și se mai numesc și lacrimile îngerului. Le-am descoperit întâmplător acum 2 ani și, văzând cât sunt de frumoase, în toamnă am făcut o colonie mică în colțul din imagine. Înfloresc după ce toate celelalte narcise din grădină s-au trecut, iar culoarea e de lămâie 💛.

Classic is timeless

Lalelele roșii, soi vechi, neaoș și rezistent, revin în grădină de foarte mulți ani, indiferent de ce întâmplă cu vremea și vremurile. Anul acesta sunt mai multe ca oricând și vin la pachet cu o lecție primită și de la grădină - clasicul nu se demodează niciodată./ Classic is timeless.

Crizanteme sau spectacol total

În afară de una de culoarea aurului vechi, toate celelalte crizanteme/tufănele din grădină s-au deschis și spectacolul de culoare este total, uite:

End of Month View - September 2017

This end of September the garden is still fresh and colourful. It is Aster time and little purple and pink stars are shining all over the place. The mums are also opening these days, bringing in wonderful splashes of colour that match so well with the foliage that is slowly turning into autumn shades. The rains we have had recently gave our little garden a kind of freshness that resembles to the one you find in spring. Even the grass is greener than last month! The light is special all day and watching the komorebi (this is the word the Japanese have for when sunlight filters through the trees - the interplay between the light and the leaves) is so relaxing! A few late roses add a touch of elegance to the view. ”A month to remember... that kind of September” .

Early June in the Garden

Early June is such a fresh mixture of colours, textures and fragrances! At this time of the year the garden is a place where late spring and early summer flowers meet for a short period of time, with white peonies and white roses almost loosing identities and looking the same, with the magic Allium Star of Persia sharing the flower bed with some beautiful blue Salvia and Coral Bells and Love in a Mist competing for the best shapes ever. It is a little bit crowdy, with Red Valeriana, plenty of roses, the first bloom of Honeysuckle, shrubs that are fading and shrubs that are just blooming, Lavender and Astilbe. I just wish we had more time to watch this unique show.
