In a Vase on Monday - Les Duchesses

Every single year at the beginning of May I have these beauties in a vase on my table. Magnificent, incredible, unique Duchesse de Morny peony flowers.

And some special old variety tulips that we have also brought inside from our old garden.

E deja tradiție. În fiecare an, pe vremea asta, câțiva bujori  din arbustul uriaș și foate bătrân din grădina bunicii lui S. ajung și la noi în casă. Un spectacol care durează câteva zile, cu parfum din alte vremuri. Nu știu daca neapărat mai liniștite, dar parcă cu ceva mai mult răgaz și aplecare pentru natura din jur./ Every year, by this time, a few flowers of the very old and huge pink peony tree from the garden of my husband' s grandmother get into a vase in our house. For several days, we enjoy this show of beautiful colours and great perfume of old times when I presume people had much more pleasure and time to praise the nature around them.
