Etain is not only one of the most beautiful violas (some people say it is their queen!), but one of the most resistant. At this time of the year it is full of buds, so I could sacrifice the only one in bloom for today vase. It has not the specific lavender edge, but it still looks fresh and beautiful.
Here there is a post with Etain, when I bought it.
O culoare atat de luminoasa ...
RăspundețiȘtergereDa, doar la ea am vazut-o!
ȘtergereSo delicate, Anca. are you saying it would usually have a lavender coloured edge?
RăspundețiȘtergereYes, Cathy, and it looks great in autumn, look: http://timpingradina.blogspot.ro/2016/10/etain.html
ȘtergereHow brave of the Viola to flower amidst all that snow, it's lovely.
RăspundețiȘtergereIt is planted in a pot that stayed outside until it got very, very cold, -20 degrees and then I took it inside in a cold place.
ȘtergereThis is utterly delightful. So simple, so effective and so beautiful. Thank you Anca.
RăspundețiȘtergereThank you, Sarah!
ȘtergereI also consider that one of the prettiest violas, Anca. And it looks so brave standing tall, surrounded by snow!
RăspundețiȘtergereThanks, Kris!
ȘtergereThat is one hardy flower and such a lovely buttery color. Impressive!
RăspundețiȘtergereSo glad you like it, Eliza!
ȘtergereIsn't it amazing that such a delicate-looking little flower can look so good in the cold we are having! Lovely!
RăspundețiȘtergereI have brought it inside recently, it has been very, very cold in my region.
